Grumble Alert Danny Boy Information!!!!

Dank je... ;)

But it's a bit buzzy indahouse.... Ladies run around with hoover and everything. They have spring in mind I think......

But tonight I shall do a toast for Danny. So glad he is in good hands.

This is so exciting, that you get to go see him!
I missed a Paypal contribution, but will send something
with the card I mail today. I hope that they're
encouraged to know we all send them our love.

Great Visit!

OMG!! Our Danny Boy is doing so good!

We came close to losing him, but he said he felt our prayers. At one point when he was in Portland his doctors told Deanne he was the sickest person in Oregon.

He is sad that he has been forced into retirement, but hopefully he will be able to come consult at our shop eventually.

He was so happy to hear from you guys! I listen to my gut and pulled my $100 out of the till and added some more to it, hope you don't mind, but I took a nice used laptop and a check for $1000!

Deanne said she'd actually been trying to look for a laptop! And they both said we did too much. I told them, in that case don't check the mail, lol.

He can't have Chettoes (wow, my phone has no idea how to spell that and neither do I), but he was thrilled with the Dr. Pepper.

Hopefully we'll see our Danny Boy back here soon, but if he's not up to posting he will at least be reading and catching up on all things Grumble.

He might even be able to go home soon!

I am lucky to live so close!! I see another visit in our future. We may buy some of his framing supplies, too.

Thanks for all your support today guys! Keep in coming for Danny, he's putting it to good use.

Mary, I've been checking all afternoon....the news is so much better than anyone could have expected!

It's good to know that Danny will be able to read our well wishes, when and if he's up to it. Just the fact that we will be able to hear from him again, one day, makes my heart sing.

Thank you for bringing us all such good news!

Awesome, awesome, awesome! I am so glad that you went down there and so glad that you brought a laptop. (I did sort of knee jerk balk, sorry about that. I defer to your better instincts.)

Hey, Danny, when you do check in, just know nothing is too much to do for everybody's first friend. I can't speak for everybody, of course, but the frustration was palpable with so many wanting so badly to reach out and help in some way.

Thanks for finding and coordinating, Maja, it's brought a lot of hope and smiles today.

Hope and smiles all around!

Be well Danny Boy as we all miss you here on the G. I'm glad Mary was able to track you down so we could help.:D

Awesome news; it's so uplifting to hear things are going well with Danny Boy!

Very good news Maja! Hope he will get a good fund now to go into that treatment.

I think you must feel exhausted now. A visit like this consumes a lot of energy.

Hurrah! Hurrah! So glad to hear that our Best Thoughts and Prayers were so effective. Go Grumble!

Mary...you rock.

(((((Danny Boy)))))

And I'm smiling so hard my jaws are hurting and my eyes are misty.

God bless you.

I am looking forward to seeing this little guy in a post. We miss you Danny and we all believe you can kick cancer's butt.

Ouf, finally made it back home. It was a long but GREAT day!!

It was funny, at one point Danny looked at me and said, "you know we'd only met for like 10 minutes before." LOL, but that's all it took. Some people are just instant friends. I also told him there was no hiding from me, even if I have to drive 3700 I will find you!!

I feel selfish for not being able to share the site of the joy on Danny and Deanne's face today. As he was reading the card I filled out from us, he ran his finger down the list of names that filled the inside flap and spilled over onto the greeting area. He said something to Deanne like, "All these people are framer friends. My Grumble family." It was really great.

Every moment was special. I really didn't get the details of his cancer, it has a name, but it's big and long, and just sounds un-good. He is fighting it gallantly! I decided the positive was a better place to spend our time. The care center and the staff were all very nice, but I d hope he can get home soon. Always better to recover in your own bed!

I wish I could give you guys every detail. Things pop into my brain here and there and I think ... I need to tell them that!! I know there must be more. He was happy. He was ... Danny Boy! OH!! And the only thing I could find with a cape was a flying monkey!! It was a hit, lol.

Hope it was all great news on your MRI today, Danny Boy!! I am lucky to be your friend!!

And lucky to be part of this family.

I just got home and came right on to see what news there was. I am so glad you had a good visit. I also think you did the right thing in getting the lap top. Whoever came up with that idea, it was a really good one.

Hope we see DannyBoy here soon!!!!

It was Dave - FrameMakers idea.

I just ran with it.

I do the samething if someone hands me scissors ... :icon21:

OMG!! Our Danny Boy is doing so good!

My heart did multiple somersaults at the sheer joy of reading this wonderful, wonderful news! :icon21:

Thanks for finding and coordinating, Maja, it's brought a lot of hope and smiles today. Hope and smiles all around!

As he might say himself: "Happy Happy Joy Joy!" It's the Danny Boy Effect!

And Mary, you are an absolute diamond for all you've done to make this happen!

... I'm smiling so hard my jaws are hurting and my eyes are misty.

Kleenex time over here. But they're whopping great tears of joy!

Mary, I think you did manage to "put a tent over this circus".
Thanks so much . Neil

Good one Neil!! But remember, a tent is just a tent, it is the circus that makes it interesting!

OMG!! Our Danny Boy is doing so good!

My heart just smiled! What a feeling! YAY DANNY!!!!

I can't speak for everybody, of course, but the frustration was palpable with so many wanting so badly to reach out and help in some way.

So true! And so happy the frustration has been replaced with happiness :)

Let us all remember:

Trouble shared is trouble divided.
Happiness shared is happiness multiplied.

Mary, this is the BEST news I've heard in a long time. Thank you SO MUCH for updating us on Danny's status. You have done a terrific job being our Grumble Ambassador! I'm so glad that Danny is doing better than everyone feared.

I finally got the bank draft and so my donation and card will be in the mail today.

My positive thoughts and prayers will continue...

((((Danny and family))))
((((Mary))))

Ellen, that is absolutely lovely! And it is a fundamental Truth.

One of my customers who became a good friend gave me a little leatherbound notebook one day. I decided to use it for really special quotations that move me. I'm going to include this one in my little book of wisdoms. :)

Thank you Mary for your efforts in getting all of this together.

Not to be a downer, but I believe that our prayers have had something to do with the improvements that Danny has had. I am sure that he is no where near out of the woods with this. We all need to keep up the prayers and be thankful for the improvements but now focus them on kicking this cancers ***.

KICK SOME CANCER BUTT DANNY!!! :D :D

Just reading the update made my heart soar!!!!
Big HUGS to you Mary and SMOOTCHES for Danny!!!!
I CANT STOP SMILING TODAY!! :D :D :D

Where is the LIKE button. ^

I know Dave, we need one of those!!

You guys are great. I'm blessed, lucky, and honored to call you friends!!

Dave is right about something else, too. Danny has a long way to go and does still need us. He has a great community, family and friends to help. I'm glad we are part of that!!

It was funny, we were trying to find his room and a nurse asked us who we were looking for. When we said Danny her eyes light-up! Yea, it;s not just us. He's a special guy!

A little late to the party, but I sent along a note and a little something I hope will help.
Danny brings a lot of positive energy to this forum even when he can't be present. I hope it is mutliplied and returned to him in the same spirit it was given.

Strength and peace, Danny Boy.

What a beautiful wish! :)

The computer was a great idea. I'm glad to see Danny has had a chance to catch up on some Grumble reading.

Welcome back to the Grumble Danny Boy.:icon21:

Sending comforting vibes and prayers your way, Danny.

(((((((Danny & Family)))))))

As some have said I am a little late to this thread but I have been following along. Every time I visit this I cry. Danny was one of the first to "friend" me once it was possible to do so. He was (is) the one I count on to let me know what is going on in the Grumble kingdom. Now I will admit that of late I have become a bit of a lurker. Life (work) has been absolutely overwhelming for a long time but I want Danny to know, I what the Grumble to know, I want the universe to know (if only that were possible) that Danny holds a very special place in my heart as well as a multitude of others; and that my prayers and ultimate wishes are with him and his family.

POWER OF PRAYER

Thank you Mary for your efforts in getting all of this together.

Not to be a downer, but I believe that our prayers have had something to do with the improvements that Danny has had. I am sure that he is no where near out of the woods with this. We all need to keep up the prayers and be thankful for the improvements but now focus them on kicking this cancers ***.

If you don't believe in the power of prayer, please read "Heaven Is For Real" - Todd Burpo.

Update!

I got a wonderful phone call last night. My dad had said he was going to call, but it was actually a different "D" - Danny!!

He sounded GREAT! He was in the hospital for a while for some procedures, but he is back at Life Care.

He asked me to thank you for the love and prayers. He said he and his family need them and really appreciate them. He also said he has been getting some great cards and goodies! He wanted to thank you guys for those, too.

I could tell by his voice how happy you guys are making him!!

He says he has looked at the Grumble a little, but there is a lot to read and he gets tired very easy. I told him to take his time we were not going anywhere.

He wanted an update on our shop progress and said he can't wait to come check it out!

There is a yard sale planned the Saturday before Easter and I plan to go down and lend a hand.

That's all for now! Thanks guys for making some one special happy!
