As Mike has mentioned on a previous thread, I have been working on a new design for this year's Grumbler badge for use at the WCAF show. After incorporating several suggestions from fellow Grumblers, here is what I have come up with. Hope you like it. :D

You are welcome to print out the image on your own. However, we will be printing out several of these, which will be laminated and have an adhesive strip so you can attach to your show badges. These will be available at the LifeSaver booth on request, or at the Grumble breakfast gatherings. They will NOT be available at the registration desk. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

LOOKS AWESOME!

And YES! I think it needs to be girlier! <crossing arms thinking glitter would be way more awesomer>

I thinkt he "girlier" one says "I'm Warped"

Do you have ones for spouses that say, "I'm a Grumbler by Proxy"? LOL

Looks great, thanks for doing this for us! Can't wait to get mine.

WOW! Andy, those are great!

So what kind of wood is the veneer, and is that 9824 for the mat?

........Mine needs to lose the guy with the halo :) . L

they look great! just one suggestion. Leave a space for the user name or grumbler id to write in on the bottom. just my 2¢.

Great idea, but I don't think it would work due to the lamination.

However, people can note this on the paper insert that fits into the badge holder. (the name tag itself)

Two years ago HB printed out his avatar and his name and put it in his name tag! That really helped. Maybe I can remember to do that ...

Badges are all printed, laminated, and an adhesive strip attached. I don't know how many Grumblers are actually attending the show, but we've got approximately 130 or so of the badges made up, so get yours as soon as you can.

Unfortunately, as I usually try and keep the size of the badges to a minimum, there wasn't enough space to add an area to write screen names. Sorry about that. Also, as Mike mentioned, I am not sure how well anything written would stick to the laminate. Something to think about for next year.

Question: On Sunday, since the show booths (i.e. the Lifesaver booth) won't be open, we'll have to be at the breakfast in order to get our badge that day, correct?

Pretty much. I will be working on the show floor much of Saturday and all of Sunday, to help assemble the booth and prepare all the PC's/equipment. (that area is closed to attendees until Monday, when the trade show opens). I wont be in the booth Monday or Tuesday from approx 12-4, because I'll be hosting some classes. But badges will still be available from others, if you ask.

You can also meet us outside the breakfast gathering, if you don't wish to go inside. The group usually gathers outside 10-15 minutes prior, and goes in together.

Andy will be taking 7 classes, and should be pretty visible all weekend. You may see him Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. He will have a supply of badges with him, available for the asking. Andy deserves all the credit for the badges.

If none of the above is convenient, email me and we can arrange to meet at a certain time and place. (or you can text/call me Sunday, and I can meet you at the trade show entrance. I'll be working just inside the entrance, and that won't be any problem at all)

One way or another, we'll make sure you get one! :)

Mike

Ill print a few myself and bring them with me. What is the size they need to be?
They look great, thank you for the time you put into them.

I miss Ron's talking tape measure.

A bit of a Frankenthread but....:popc:
I remember talking with Ron, he's a Cheesehead from Wisconsin and so am I.
I could only get this tiny tape measure that had movement (wait a couple of seconds)

Here's a thread with Ron and his daughter talking about their dog Dante that had cancer..
Some of the pics are gone but some remain towards the end of the thread..
