Advice on mat cutter purchase

I'm about to start doing freelance onsite framing for an institution that is purchasing a mat cutter for their own use. I suggested Fletcher-Terry 2200, but they are looking for something in the $800-$1000 range. I also think getting a used one (or a 2100 model) is a good option, but since it needs to be purchased before the end of the year, I may not find one in time. I was gifted a Logan 700 mat cutter years ago before I worked professionally and always had problems with it. Maybe the Logan 860 is a better choice? Does anyone have any suggestions on specific models that would be in this price range? New or used? Thanks

The 860 is the Phaedra Cronomat reborn. Phaedra went out of business and sold the mat cutter to Logan who re-branded it as the 850 line (850, 855, 860).

I have used the 60" Chronomat for 15 years and love it. I don't know if we have had any reports of users of the 860 but for under a grand it should be an excellent mat cutter.
