"The AMP VN4L is designed for the highest level of precision framing. On this model, the driver moves underneath the moulding to be joined, providing meticulous control of join placement (up to 3 nail positions) as well as faster production times. Its 3-position measurement locking controls produce highly accurate, “one-touch” results. It has been enhanced to assemble frames up to 6.5 inches wide. Features include a pneumatic load/feed system to eliminate jams, “soft clamp” pneumatics for damage-free joints, and a quick-change hold-down to fit most profiles.

The VN4L is designed for custom frame shops and other small businesses requiring ongoing production runs, in particular for frames of same or similar size that must be completed quickly."

The Amp VN 4L looks very unmaintained as if it sat in storage for a couple of years at least. I have one that is 12 years old and it looks new compared to this one. Have you tested it? Is it fully functional now? The unit in the video is not the same as what is being sold. I am interested, but prove to me that the unit is functional first.

Hello, I'll post a video of myself putting a few frames together with the AMP over the weekend or by Monday, - I should have done that to begin with!

The video above is for the AMP VN 4 (new model # ???) -and the one I am selling is the VN 4L (new model # U-300P,) which I believe is a slightly larger machine with 3 adjustable positions. (*I'm confused with the model numbers because most images of the 'VN4' I see online shows a machine similar to mine but with only 2-nailing positions but this video shows 3-nailing positions - like my VN 4L.) ?!

I bought the AMP a year ago through a 3rd party, ("AIM Enterprises Inc" ) -and picked up the AMP from a picture framer in Texas -who I believe owned it for about 10 years. The AMP was under guarantee through AIM when I bought it and the broker stated that it had been serviced by a technician within the past year. Since I bought the machine a year ago, it's been stored in a dry workshop and I used it about 10 times with no problems. I bought the AMP and Esterly to add framing and matting to my photography business but don't have time for it.

The AMP was definitely used for production in a shop and shows some wear and cosmetic defects, (* -scratches on paint on the side of machine and stand, -faded logo, -some blemishes on the top surface near the fence area and -could use a new clamping pad,) but there is no mechanical or structural damage to the machine, and no serious dings, gashes or imperfections. As far as I can tell the machine works and feels great.

I'll post a video ASAP.

Cheers

i have a Cassese now and now they are out of business so im scrambling to get a new nailer before there are no replacement parts left. jonathan

Hi Jonathan, and Welcome to the G.
The person that posted this (OP) hasn't been on the Grumble since August of 2020, so I doubt they will respond.

The situation with Cassese may not be as dire as originally thought. The principals in the the business are trying to put together something to support the products, and there are other manufacturers that are picking up some of the slack.

If you are set on getting a used AMP v-nailer, they come up for sale here occasionally, or you could be like the OP and check with AIM Equipment to see if they have a lead on one in your area. I bought a used AMP VN-42 through them and have been very happy with the machine.
