Have you had any luck using LinkedIn? Or is more trouble than its worth?

I've ask that question before and no one seems to know what it does. I finally quit accepting e-mails or responding to them.

In my opinion is that LinkedIn is not worth the time or effort it takes. I get much more out of Instagram, my business Facebook, and my web site. I personally would rather invest my time into those 3 multimedia sites so I don't do LinkedIn anymore and just delete emails asking me to join in.

I agree with Joe B. Instagram is where it's at, it's free, and the people who want to see your stuff will actually see it. Facebook's algorithm limits the amount of people that see your stuff, unless you pay cash to boost your posts. I am convinced that LinkdIn is a virus, just try unsubscribing from emails, it never works, so much spam!

It seems to me that LinkedIn is for people promoting SEO and social media guru types to tell you how good they are.

I stopped interacting with LinkedIn after I read that they mine your contact list and use it for marketing themselves. Anyway, I think it may be more useful for young folks in the corporate world who start polishing up their resume to find their next job the moment they start their current job.
