So ... I've got a microsoft surface go networked to a tower. I'm building an inventory system for artwork - consignment and gallery-owned. Queries, forms, and reports, no problem, but unsure how to access rear camera on surface and save image file to tower as part of input form. (MySQL table to hold path to image file.) stackoverflow posts are not very helpful and are contradictory. (Surprise, surprise, surprise, Sergeant.) Application to run as localhost webapp on tower. Anybody know of online resources to help me through?

Pretty easy using ip webcam on Android. Just involves grabbing image from URL of the Webcam server. Could do it in js, or you could get the image via curl when you process the form.

Thanks. I bumbled my way along and raised the post size and file size in php.ini, but it wouldn't work until I set the post max higher than the file max. Now, it works in Edge but not in Firefox.

Glad you figured that out, Dirk, because I don't understand a word of this.

    New it be not.

I wrote my original site in PHP in 2001. It's still on a LAMP Stack now. As an instructional aside all you grasshoppers can Google 'Lamp Stack'.

PHP has been around since 1994. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PHP
