Contract Mat Cutting

We have a Wizard Flex that is not being used as much as we would like, so we are considering offering contract mat cutting services.

The plan is to offer 24 hour turnaround on all orders with a minimum quantity of 1.

We're hoping to attract enough contract customers to keep this machine busy and generate an additional revenue stream at the same time.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I am not familiar with the Flex.
I have not tried this type of business.
I do have some regular customers for mats of 10 or more.

My only real input, if you are offering quick turnaround, is to make sure to have replacement parts for any part that may malfunction at least yearly.
On the Wizard 8000, we make sure to have extra Air Clamps, Blades, and Blade Holders.
Not sure what may go wrong on your machine.

Also stock up on common mats.

Hi Brian,

Thank you for the feedback. This is the cutter that we have.
.

To date we haven't had any issues at all, but I expect with much higher volumes we will need to carry spare parts.

We will have plenty of mat inventory on hand and we're a 1 day delivery for replacement mat.

PS, if you have a wizard 8000 I have hundreds of blades that I cannot use. We purchased a bunch of inventory from an Ethan Allen auction and the blades were in a box. Let me know, you can have them cheap.

Thanks again.

I would suggest that you put this in a separate thread in the for sale section including quantity, pictures and expected price. They may move fast.
