I'm not a big enough sports fan to need a cable sports channel.

With a good antenna I get the major broadcast channels out of the Twin Cities and using a Roku box I get Hulu and a bunch of other stuff.

I do miss cable news but the internet keeps me up to date. Huffpo, Mother Jones, Salon etc.....:)

No great options for internet in my small town. I would like to faster and cheaper than I'm paying for Spectrum ($56.00 per month)

Might I suggest you also check out The Onion?

In our minuscule town (population 3000), 1.5 hours+ from any actual "city", we have fiber optic available even on most dirt roads. Under $70 including all taxes and fees for their basic non-guaranteed Gigabit connection.

I said that just to poke Ted.:)

I seriously dislike the trend toward false news. I got hooked once.
Those site and channels include Onion.

Cord Cutting????? Give me more cords. DirecTV with NFL Sunday ticket, all the ESPN I can take, all the premium move channels, regional sports channels, all the DIY channels, Roku, NetFlix and Amazon Prime Series and movies. The only thing I cut was BlockBuster.

More, More, More. And a 200 HD DVR for it all.

I wouldn't lump the Onion in with the fake news sites. It's a humor site, and everyone knows it, so there is no deception involved.

Your closest station is 24 miles away Take a look at your antenna map and mileage to your stations at https://nocable.org/availability-report/zip/55317-chanhassen-mn

A good directional amplified outdoor antenna would help you.

I cut the chord, maybe a year ago, and never looked back. I bought a 60 Mile OTA digital antenna from Amazon to get the local channels.
I have amazon Firestick to get Prime movies and my smart TV has the Netflix App. When I want to watch "All-day news", I use the CBSN app.
    I don't really watch sports.
