This is a popular choice poll for the grumblers design competition. Before voting please take out a piece of paper and go through each category and write down what you think is the best entry for each category and then what you think is the best entry overall.

Once you are done, take the poll!

Have Fun!!

This is really hard! I mean to choose from all of these wonderful and creative choices - I finally, after much deliberation, had to fall back on the old "what would I want for my own house" to be able to vote. I guess I'd make a pretty lousy judge...

Excellent job - Everyone! THANKS Angie for making it all possible!!!

I was thinking the same thing!!! Very hard to pick the best. They are all so good!!!!!!

I can't wait to see the results!!!

oh and you're welcome

Only 26 Grumblers have voted thus far - where is everyone???? Get in here and VOTE!!! See the AMAZING framing jobs that your fellow Grumblers have done - SEE the WORK that Angie did to pull this thing together!

VOTE!!!

I agree Mar. When I do my regular thing for the PBS Art Auction the Popular Choice drew so much more attention than the jurried competition that we resorted to all popular choice. It's a bunch of fun to see if the one you liked is agreed to.

Even when we did the jurried competition the popular choice was normally different. We felt the people were showing what they LIKED.But if you don't cast a ballot who will know?

Some Other TFG Polls draw 3-4 times as much votes. Come on.

I'm more impressed with Angie's eagerness and far-sightedness! I can't imagine the hours she's spent getting this whole thing off the ground and rolling. It WOULD be gratifying to see more G'ers voting. I imagine all of us, at one time or another, have thought about a 'framing contest'...but then think about the amount of work involved, and go, "Naaaaaah."

And more importantly, the things she's doing are helping bring Grumbledom closer. We're learning more about others and ourselves.

ok i just got back from vacation and since i have lousy dialup it takes FOREVER to view all the pics. how much time do e have to vote? i really want to but it will take a couple hours to look at them all and i need to make some time. i did manage to look at some, what inspiring work!

Voting ends on the 10th at 10pm, board time.

I used to have dial-up for my first four years - believe me when I tell you I have waited for far less to load - these pictures are WORTH THE WAIT!!!

Wow!!! There's action and campaigning for the competition on the poll page  You all are awesome!! I figured it would take a while for people to vote because... you really have to think about it!! These are all sooooo good! It is so hard to choose just one, but I'm eager to see how this turns out! We've got about 4 more days to see the results!

TO ALL WHO HAVE NOT VOTED YET: I know it may take a while for the pictures to load for some of you but here's an idea for you... look at only two or three categories a day and write down the one you like in each one until you have went through all 7 categories.... If you start today, you should have time to vote!!

TO THOSE WHO HAVE LOOKED AT ALL THE CATEGORIES AND HAVEN'T VOTED: Get in there and vote!!! This is the most fun part!!!! ...getting to see who wins, let's make it worth it!!

COME ON FOLKS GET THOSE VOTES IN! THE MORE PEOPLE VOTE THE MORE INTERESTING THE RESULTS!!!

By the way... the judges are very busy judging all these entries, we are hoping to have the winners around the same time the poll is over!! Cheers to the judges!... they have been really great!

My thanks to everyone involved--Angie, participants, judges, et. al. Being rather new to the custom framing business and The Grumble, all of you have been wonderful inspirations to me

. Hopefully, I can participate next year if Angie agrees to make it an annual event.

Thanks bunches!

Ok...I voted. I hate making decisions. Especially these kinds. EVERYTHING was awesome. I guess I just made up my own criteria for choosing. Thank you to everyone who submitted photos of projects. You guys and gals are amazingly talented & a true inspiration. Thanks to Angie for making it possible. (geez, this sounds like an Oscar acceptance speech). Like Sue said, maybe by next year, I will have something that will be worth entering. And like Baer said, you folks should post your designs more often in the design forum. Thanks again!

Hey there!! This may indeed become an annual event, it just depends on how busy things are with the new life change and all.... as many of you know, I am moving back to my hometown and working for Barb, my husband is going to be a teacher and we are going to have much more time to spend with each other... but this has been fun and I've enjoyed it so let's just see what happens in a year or so, I hope to do this again!!

;) Now for some more campaigning!!! ;)

GET THOSE VOTES IN!!! TIME IS RUNNING SHORT!! THERES ONLY A FEW DAYS LEFT!!!

BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE VOTED!!!

Whew, it took me like an hour to view all these on my computer at home. But, it was worth it.

You did a wonderful job putting this together Angie!

I am not sure what that sword icon means but to me it is like the Sword of Damocles ("hangin' over my head"): time is running out!

<marquee> VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! </marquee>

Quit yer horsin' around! Only 6 more hours to vote!!! (well, at least according to MY clock - the board clock gives you even LESS time!!!)

First of all thank you all so much for participating in this competition!!!!!!! I am very tired, so sorry if this is written silly, but I feel you have the right to finally know who the winners are, so I'll let you know right now.
Next...
A round of applause and Congratulations to the winners of the popular choice polls!

Had a nice relaxing weekend camping with my wife and youngest son and drew this cartoon as my prize to all entrants.Lots of fun looking at all the entries. No shortage of talent and creativity here. Thanks Angie and everyone else involved. Let's hope we see lots more postings on the design forum now!

Thanks Framar. After further (un?)refinement I may try posting it to Warped. See if you can find all the changes!

Cool drawing Terry!

I would like to announce that I still need addresses of the winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd, Honorable Mentions, and Popular choice winners) So that I may send you a certificate. No big rush though because I will not have a computer for several weeks (we are moving tomorrow and the rest of the week), therefore there will be no printing of certificates.... It's the transition (we have to stay at grandma's until the people move out of the house we are getting) I wasn't expecting this competition to be so long; I really thought it would be well over with by now... I guess I will keep that in mind for next year!

Send your addresses to pearsonart@hotmail.com or in a private message.
Angie
