I have used Ultramitre for the last eight years for the purchased and sharpening of my saw blades. Just recently I had sent my dull set of blades for resharpening, two months later I am still waiting for the return of my blades. I have left messages and when I did speak to whoever answered the phone, the excuse was that they just started and will take my message and have someone get back to me. Well I am still waiting with no blades. The saw blades are not cheap so the situation of buying a new set does not make me happy. Am I the only framer out there that has experience this problem with Ultramitre?

I think they're gone.

I think they're gone.
I just spoke to them over the phone this morning and got the same run around nonsense, I believe they lost my blades or gave them away. Anyways, I am going to file a complaint report with the Better Business Bureau. Rudy Campos is the new owner since the original owner left the company. That is probably why the change in the company's service, so please be aware if you purchase or send your blades to them, you may be disappointed. I will be doing service with Atlas Saw & Tool.

Ultramitre has had issues for a while now.
Other folks have mentioned this as well.
I haven't used them for a number of years since they shipped our sharpened blades to Arkansas instead of Arizona when I need them back quickly.

I suggest using Quinn Saw for sharpening and for new blades.
Bill at Quinn (triple chip) is a Grumbler and we've had great service and good prices on new blades from them.
Their robotic computerized sharpening system is the best.

I have used Quality Saw & Knife since I have had my Pistorius chop saw... over 20 plus years.
Never a problem and a quick turnaround.

Ditto on Quality Saw for sharpening.

Last I heard on Friday 8/23 was that ultrimitre was permanently closing there doors at end of this month (this week) I heard that from a reliable source but not direct from Ultrimitre... so take it with a grain of salt...

I have been pleased with Quinn Saw. I also purchased a set of blades from Quinn that I really like for day to day work.

I haven't used Forrest in a while, but I also got great service from them. I purchased my Pistorius used and it came with Forrest blades, and I also purchased a set for my table saw.

Both Atlas and Quality have good reputations, but I have not used them myself.

I got a new set of saw blades from Atlas Saw and Tool since I had to replace the set that I never got back from Ultramitre. I love the new blades fro Atlas, I feel its must more superior than the blades from Ultramitre. Cuts well and no problems. Hope this helps for anyone looking for a reputable company that sells and sharpens saw blades.
