    Hello all,
I just invested in a used CMC and it has eliminated my need to keep the Speed Mat around. The Speed Mat cuts up to 40x60 mats. It is wall mounted, so it saves a ton of space. The stops are pretty ingenious and it makes cutting double and triple mats a breeze. Great for production work also. Set the stops once and crank out a ton of mat boards without rotating the board or resetting the stops. Comes with a bunch of blades and a second cutting head. The previous owner kept one head set for 8 Ply and the other head for everything else.
I am the second owner of this guy. It was originally owned by a local shop that used it as a back up for its CMC and used it for big production orders. It is in great shape. All of the bearings roll easily, there is no damage to the unit. It cuts great and the manual is easy to find on the Esterly site. I am a small operation and can’t justify keeping the Speed Mat and a CMC.

    Listed locally for $700.00

I forgot to mention... I am in the Salt Lake City area. I have access to a loading dock if shipping needs to happen.

I remember buying my Easterly waaaay back in the mid 80's!! I was living in south Jersey and decided to head up to maine for a week of skiing at Sugarloaf. Stopped at their shop beore heading home and strapped it to the roof racks on my little Escort hatchback and drove 600 miles home.
Eventually sold it to the Farnsworth museum in Rockland.

One little added bit of info: I had broken my left knee while skiing and had to drive a stick shift all the way back!! I learned how to speed shift on that trip.

It really is a very good machine.
Just noticed that you didn't get the added sizing cutter for the right end for cutting the glass and such..too bad.

I may have a line on the sizing cutter. The lady who sold it to me had a part on the shelf that she was sure belonged to the Speed-Mat but she couldn't remember what it was used for. I left her place without it and never liked back since I have a Fletcher 3100 on my wall. She wasn't the type of lady who throws stuff away, somI assume that part is still sitting on her shelf. I just sent her a text, but if I remember right, her reply time is a couple of days most of the time. She has 10 year old moulding still in the box that she might unload one day. I bet she still has the part. It's been a long time since I've spoken to her though.

Please let me know if you get the sizing cutter as I would be very interested in buying this item if complete.
