I've lost where/who/what information. It has been a week since I read a review of a new, quick setting (reduced drying time), strong, wood glue for frame miters. Now, I've searched pages of Decor and PFM and this site to ask -- does someone use/know it.

There is a glue called Maxim that has a 3 minute to hold, 15 minute to set, 3 hour drying time. (Those might not be the exact terms). I use it and it is supposed to be very strong. I don't know if that is what you are looking for, but I hope that helps you.

I recently purchased a saw from Circle Master in Mississippi and when Bill Hursey demonstrated the saw he used Maxim and supplied a sample bottle. He used it to join a 8 Sided box made from scrapes without a vise .All he did was hold two sides together for a brief time and then repeat the process till complete. The glue dryed so fast a vise wasn't needed .Of course that could work against you if you don't get the sides joined right.Maybe you could contact him for information. The phone number on the glue is 1-800-777-3165.

We use Maxim and like it much better than the others, including FrameWeld. Don't let it sit too long if you want to separate the mitres!
