Hubby just sent an e-mail to an insurance agent from his personal GMail account. Later, he noticed that it listed the sender as 'Shayla Grumble', rather than his name. Looked at his account, and although it shows his correct e-mail address address, his name is gone as the holder of the account. In its place is 'Shayla Grumble'. We can't figure out why. I do have a GMail, but I only sign in a few times a year, and that name's not anywhere on it. My main e-mails are Yahoo, and even then, one sent from my Yahoo Shayla account doesn't have that name combination. We're mystified as to why it happened, and can't get it to change. He wondered if I had tried to sign into my GMail, but I haven't. Nor have I signed into his. It brings to mind a Facebook glitch from several years ago, where a few people around the country signed in, then popped up inside the accounts of complete strangers. The only time I've used the name Shayla Grumble was in a GoFund Me donation a long time ago, and perhaps as the ending of a few private notes here. Could this kind of thing, where your account suddenly has another name, ever be caused by hacking or a virus? He's going to change his password, but is that enough?
