I have looked at 3 different framing hardware suppliers and have not been able to find hardware for hinging frames together. Does anyone know differently?

Didn't Albin have some kind of hardware for attaching 2 frames together? Their items are brilliant and useful.

There used to be hinges that push into little slots and they looked very neat.
Only problem is you needed a dedicated slot cutter for them.

Have a look away from the usual framing stuff outlets and there are all sorts of decorative hinges available.

those are called kerf hinges. i know you can get them from Craft Inc. maybe elsewhere. They also sell blades and a universal arbor for cutting the slots. not sure what type of tool the arbor is intended for use with. I suppose a router would do it.
