Do you mean Sales or Profit?

Up over 25% vs. last year. CoGS reduced to low 20s--like 21.5-22.5% but this because we really stressed sales of instock moulding, of which we had a ton. Also increase due to some very fortunate large sales of limited edition canvases.

Hope for a repeat this year, but with all that instock stuff almost gone, and my large limited buyers perhaps satiated, we'll see.

Thank you all. According to those results, the overall picture is rather encouraging. I was under the impression that a severe recession has afflicted our industry but numbers tend to deny it. As a matter of facts, they show an optimistic trend with a quarter of us having done quite very well last year. Those 26% framers at the top spell good news because they are significantly numerous and much out of a Gaussian Bell type distribution.

About where should a new shop be statistically in this?

The 4 of us were in an old established shop for years.

Marie bought the shop 2 years ago and we moved to a smaller location. Our former shop was in a Ben Franklin.

we have been able to upgrade many things in our work, but it is still a new shop.
