We are a high-end picture frame company headquartered in Cambridge seeking help in our Boston design showroom on a full time basis. We manufacture and make our frames from the raw materials and as such sell one-of-a-kind custom frames to our clients throughout the Boston area. Known for our work with high-end, valuable art, we are adept and skilled at working with and creating frames for all types of artwork and photography meant to preserve and protect the work our frames surround and are looking for a skilled and driven person to join our team.

We are currently seeking a custom picture framing designer/salesperson to work in and manage our showroom in the SoWa arts district on a full-time basis. You will be solely responsible for running our location at 460 Harrison Ave in the same building as many other galleries and art studios.

Duties will include (but aren't limited to):
- Custom framing sales and design, working with our clients to help them find the custom framing solutions that best fit their art and style, while presenting artwork in the most appropriate archival manner necessary.
- Working with various local Boston galleries and as well as art consultants, designers and artists helping to frame gallery shows, exhibitions and installations.
- Project management
- Art handling, wrapping and storage
- Management and running of the showroom on a day to day basis

- Working schedule is set at 10-6p, Tues-Saturday. Some Sundays during the SoWa Open Market season are required, over time will be paid
- Must have custom framing experience with a focus in design and sales: 3+ years’ experience necessary
- Demonstrated customer services skills/abilities
- High attention to fine detail, strong organizational skills, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Eager to learn new skills, self-starter, self-motivated worker
- Strong communication and team work abilities
- Adaptable, quick to think on your feet
- Strong sense of urgency, willingness to work hard in a fast-paced environment
- Must have basic computer skills, as well as strong and personable phone skills
- Ability to plan and coordinate events as they may arise
- Art handling, fine art knowledge/background or equivalent experience/knowledge required
- Strong interpersonal skills, outgoing and willing to make and keep new business contacts

Preference will be given to those candidates with some previous frame shop management or multiple years’ experience and who are eager to take on new challenges. Custom framing experience is a must, and candidates without it will not be considered. We are looking to hire ASAP and to start you will be trained at our Cambridge Headquarters before taking over at the SoWa showroom.
