OK - I admit it - I was most reluctant to take the plunge into Facebook back in July - I swore my membership would only last 3 days and then I would back out gracefully..... Now I have over 200 friends on my profile and over 100 fans on my shop's page and at least 2 solid repeat customers gained from mostly the personal profile rather than the shop page. The personal profile has allowed me to post photos of a lot of my "friends" from 20-30 years ago, actually find out their names and get to know then now as I was never able to get to know them back then. I am astounded at the people who have befriended me or the ones who have agreed to be my friend - folks I have never actually met but I know "of" them and they obviously know "of" me. I have been busy for the last over 3 months weaving all of these strands together, along with my Buffalo-centric blog and it is working for me. I almost think the business page is superfluous. As a "person" rather than as a "business entity" I have "joined" theatre groups, animal charities, historical and art society pages. I am getting my name out there in front of all of these people. It is free and it is fun. And I might add that I have never once played any game or taken any quiz or participated in any of the third party apps. How are all y'all doing with this stuff?
