Planning to create an inventory database of gallery art, both shop-owned and on consignment (we currently use a three-ring binder). He's figured out how to write the code and set it up, and has a question. To take photos of the art with a handheld device, is Chromebook or a tablet better?

Also, if you've created an inventory database, feel free to share about it.

Sounds now like he's leaning toward a tablet, with Firefox.

We have one in i-framer. With mouldings etc, you can record all off cuts etc so you know exactly what you have on hand and wether enough to do a job. With artwork, We just set up a customer for shop art. And all the art is listed under the a sale, with all the job framing details as well. So if someone comes in and wants to frame their artwork the same, we can just clone the job as a template.

Same with art on consignment. The sale is set up and the sale number is changed for quick reference.
