Thanks! Is that similar to Coroplast? My vendors dont carry DiBond. Where do you purchase your DiBond?Wilson is right. DiBond is the smoothest surface to use for this application. I think Kool Tack makes something similar called "Competition Plate".
DiBond is one brand of aluminum composite material (ACM), which is commonly used for signage and graphic display applications. Sign-making distributors usually have it. It is a hard-surfaced board consisting of thin aluminum sheets sandwiched over a plastic core, such as PVC. Several finishes are available. Cutting this type of board can be done using special rotary (twin-disc) cutting tools, saws, and some types of blades.
As noted above, Kool Tack's Competition Plate is ACM coated with their heat-activated adhesive, and it works very well. Since most framers do not possess the proper tools to cut ACM, your Kool Tack distributor can supply Competiton Plate cut-to-size.
That is an ACM, yes. This is not similar to coroplast. Thanks! Is that similar to Coroplast? My vendors dont carry DiBond. Where do you purchase your DiBond?
