Anyone know of a Wordpress plugin (preferred) or ecommerce solution that would enable this capability. Open to other solutions too.

There are already several free "resizing/cropping" photo editor websites.

If you are looking to build a website that offers this service, such a site would need an extensive programming back room(HTML code) beyond the scope of a free website. You need a qualified programmer to do this type of work.

    or
You could link up with one of these sites and have the data file transferred to your site.

And Javscript and whatever your web programming language is like PHP and probably AJAX.

I have done a lot of this type of work for a rewrite of my site and the work is far from trivial.

    Her is one example: http://www.webmotionuk.com/php-jquery-image-upload-and-crop/

A search for "php upload and crop photo" will give a number of php solutions

Will you want to limit the cropped images to standard photo sizes?

We use own cloud and give each trade customer a log in and their own cloud folder which they manage themselves, we also use it to back up our machines, we use this for trade accounts that print often with us, we are also looking at adding printing to our website as a cart option we currently use open cart and I think it is one of the things it does in the options, although I am not our IT guy so that might be wrong :)
