Running Numbers (v.4.0.1) under iPad Air (iOS v. 11.3.1)

    I screwed up!

I was fiddling around with the Numbers template, “Monthly Calendar” to see how it worked (seems very intricate and clever) when I accidentally deleted a single row and the whole spreadsheet went south. I could not “UNDO” the error, nor did I think to make a backup before I popped the hood on the template, so it is now unusable.

If you have the Numbers app installed on your iPad, could please PM me?

You can't just Close without Saving?

    Barring that, try a search.

Unfortunately, the iPad iOS is significantly different than the regular Mac OS. There is no “Save” or “Revert” option on an iPad. A document is automatically saved when you close the document or the application. It can’t be recovered unless you have it backed up on iCloud ... which it did automatically, but only after I screwed the calendar up.

I’ve looked for a similar calendar, but none of the templates you suggested are what I’m looking for. The one I broke is a single monthly calendar in which you pull down the month and year. The calendar for that month is automatically displayed as well as the previous and following one. I am looking at how that template works simply out of curiosity. I’m pretty familiar with spreadsheets, but the one I messed up was beyond my experience. I just want to know how they did it.

    Thanks for replying.

And when you choose "New" and choose "Calendar" again?

When you purchased "Numbers" in the Appstore, you can also simple delete the app on your iPad and install it again (for free). Than you will find all settings as original again.

    For deleting:
Push the Home-Button quickly twice so that all icons start to wiggle. Tab the "X" at the Numbers-icon to delete it. Push the Home-Button once again to stop this modus.
