    Hey Everyone!

Peterboro has just released another educational video. This one is on Optical Brightening Agents (or OBAs).

In the video we will talk about what OBAs are, how they are harmful to the preservation of art, and easy ways to spot them in your matboards.

If you would like to vie other educational videos, you can do so on the "Videos" page of our website. http://www.peterboromatboards.com/videos.php

    Enjoy!

Thanks for posting this new video, Steve. It's very well made and does a good job of explaining the issue of optical brighteners.

Why aren't more manufacturers of framing materials producing and sharing videos with such valuable information?

Thanks for the feedback, Jim! No question that education like this is beneficial to everyone in the framing industry, especially when there are so many misconceptions out there! We know that not every framer can close down their shop for a weekend to attend educational events, so we are trying to make it as easy as possible for everyone to access educational resources. As I know you are aware from producing your own videos, these things take a lot of time and resource to produce... but my prediction is that other companies will soon follow and start producing videos as production tools become increasingly more available to the average person.

Looking forward to connecting at WCAF in a couple weeks!

    Take care,
    Steve
