Searching For plastic clips for velcro on metal frame samples

Hello all-

For several years we always had these little plastic clips which would snap into the channel on the back of extruded moulding samples. They were nice and flat and allowed us to attach Velcro pads on extruded samples for our display wall.

I thought they would be readily available from our distributors, but I can't locate any.

Does anyone out there know where to get these, or what they're called?

Thanks,
Ty

Yeas ago I got a batch of these from our Nielsen moulding distributor, but I haven't heard of them in along time. Maybe you should check with your Nielsen sales representative, or maybe a Nielsen distributor might still have some hidden away.

You might check with LJ also, as I think they use something like that for their Clark metals.

Thanks Jim & Rick.

My LJ rep doesn't have them, I'm waiting to hear back from my Nielsen rep, but I think I already checked with them a while ago.

My frame sample walls are carpeted as it seems most are. How does everyone else secure extruded samples to the wall? I've found that the self-adhesive chevron velcro doesn't get a very good grip on the metal corners and just doesn't last.
Thanks,
Ty

Newer sets of metal corner samples come with special corner hardware that has velcro pretty securely stuck to them.

I was really happy to get the plastic velcro thingys for my metal samples. They've been hanging for about a year and now the velcro is coming un-stuck from the clip. Aaarrgh!

Good news - it seems like those clips can be ordered, free of charge, from Nielsen. I could have sworn I checked with them long ago. Either way, I have a bundle of 200 on the way.

Melinda - I also staple the velcro to the plastic clips, I've found that helps.

Thanks,
Ty

I like these clips, but I like the new Chevron with holes in it preattached to it tapped backers.
A few months back I decided to redo all my corner samples with the new stuff.
I contacted my Nielsen Rep, and he had them sent out.
Take 1) We received standard white Chevron Velcro.
Take 2) We received the clips that you are looking for.
Take 3) We received the correct Velcro with holes on Tapped Corners.
Apparently there is no part number for what we wanted, so it took three tries to get what we needed.

I then spent 10 or so hours pulling all my Nielsen samples, checking whether they were still available, and replacing Corners as needed.

Best of luck with your project.
