I just got another shipment of photo frames that I ordered from Max Moulding at the WCAF. So far this is the 3rd shipment and I know that there is at least one more out there.

When I was at the show, I asked if everything would arrive in one shipment. I was told that since I was buying mostly closeout photo frames that they would either be on the shipment or gone. The only exception was a new line that was not in-stock yet and wouldn't be till March.

Shipment 1 was invoiced on 2/3/12 and came in with 8 frames with a $22 Freight bill
Shipment 2 was invoiced on 2/7/12 and came in with 66 frames with a $66 freight bill
Shipment 2 was invoiced on 2/10/12 and came in with 32 frames and no freight bill

These all were shipped with in one week of each other. WTF is going on with this company.
Shipping is a cost of doing business but it seems that Max Moulding has no concerns for the businesses that they are selling to.

Couldn't tell you about their general shipping practices, but I don't think they are too concerned about customer satisfaction.

I had a rep come in my old shop nearly three years ago. Th p showed me samples, and I said I'd be happy to try them out on my wall. I filled out all the paperwork and faxed it in. I received my samples a few weeks later, and I had almost forgotten about them. There were samples in the box, but to pricing sheets or any way to tell how much each moulding was going to be. So, I called the rep, explained, and the rep said they would make sure a catalog and pricing info were sent out. I never received them. I mov the unused samples to my new shop still in their box. Then, about a year later, the rep walks in the door and wants to know if the samples are up. I explained that I never cried pricing information or a catalog, and that I wasn't going to guess which moulding was how much a foot. Rep said they would send a catalog and pricing .... Guess what? Got a call a month or so ago about if the samples were up. I explained AGAIN why they weren't, and then told the rep to just give up. I don't have space on the walls anyway, and I'm not going to buy from any company that made it that hard to do business with them!

Dave,
I would just add a couple bucks to each frame and move on to put out a bigger fire. I guess that there was a reason why the prices were so reasonable. I almost ordered them, but ran out of time. And yes, I would be :fire: !

I did get a call from Max Moulding with an apology and a credit.

Years ago I had also attempted to do business with Max. But after trying to get a catalog for a year, without any success, I gave up on them. It wasn't until they got a new sales rep in my area 4 years later that I actually did get a catalog. And so I started buying from Max last year, and bought from them at WCAF.

At WCAF:

I asked for a call from them before they shipped my box moulding to confirm the quantities. They called me and confirmed them. I received the box moulding about a week and a half ago, right on schedule, in a single shipment.

Today I received the photo frames that I ordered. They all came in a single delivery. Freight was about $150, which is alot, but then again it was 127 photo frames, so not too bad when you average it out.

So no problems for me from the show order.
