They work fine in chrome for me. Thanks though. I am not logged in.

Product numbers are

441075 for shape and style but in dark gold like the second image.

Starting with the gold base and then add the grey and over it would seem. I thought about this but don't have much experience. Pretty spendy base price on that to play, but I have samples....thanks so much for the product recommendation.

Try it on some cheaper stuff you might have.
I have the full color set. It is very easy to use and a little goes a long way.
There are a lot of different ways to refinish and get what you want, but this is definitely one of the easier methods.

If you don't mind sharing a little more wisdom....there is definitely a powdery looking finish between the showing through gold highlights.

Does the Rub and Buff leave a shiny finish? And if so can it be treated with a powder to darken it or make it not shiny?
Or do I just need to get some of this and play with it?
Thanks again.

I would mix tempra paint brown black and white to match color add a little rotton stone water down. apply and rub off highlight and let dry then steel wool to desired finish

I usually do a mix of techniques. I use acrylic paint. The rub and buff is not overly shiny. I had to refinish 8 sticks of LJ Allegra, as it came in too shiny without that dusty finish. I used a combination of rub and buff and a little black acrylic paint, watered down.
It is quite fun to do!
