Underpinner Front Clamps

Why is it that Manual Underpinners ie the AMP U200 do not have front clamps? Is it because the user can safely use their hands to brace?
Is it because on Pneumatic clamps they want the users hands out of the way?

I would say it is because the mechanism for a manual underpinner is not nearly as complex as on a pneumatic one. Front clamps are operated pneumatically. You want to be careful with your hands no matter how the machine operates.
