National Conference Scholarship Honors Vivian Kistler
In recognition of the numerous contributions to the framing industry by framing educator, columnist, and author Vivian Kistler, PFM and the National Conference have announced a scholarship to the 2011 West Coast Art & Frame Show in her name.
The scholarship will be awarded to one person and will include:
1.Paid airfare (coach) to Las Vegas from anywhere in the continental U.S.
2.Three nights at the Las Vegas Hilton.
3.A VIP Pass for seminars plus entry to the WCAF trade show.
This represents a total package value of up to $1,500.
To apply, submit an essay (500 words max) on how taking seminars at the National Conference would benefit your business to pfm@hobbypub.com by November 29, 2010. Entries will be judged by committee, and the winner will be announced December 16, 2010.
Vivian, who wrote a monthly column in PFM, was the foremost educator in the industry and taught at the National Conference for several years. Her life was driven by a love of education. Trained as an elementary school teacher, her passion for education was a driving force behind her books and classes. With more than a million books sold and tens of thousands of seminar attendees, her importance to industry education is unmatched. Vivian would have been honored by the idea of giving someone three days of great education and a free trip in her name to the industry's most important trade show.
