What is strip lining?

What do you do with a canvas that has been cut from the stretcher bars or doesn’t have enough tacking margin to allow proper stretching?

Strip lining with 8XX polyester and BEVA 371 film is the answer! This simple (but valuable) skill is the solution to properly add additional material to a canvas so that it can be properly stretched.

In this paid class, Rob Markoff will teach you the materials needed and show you the process. In addition we will cover a simple trick to center a canvas on stretcher bars so your Gallery Wraps come out perfectly the first time and also review the proper way review the proper way to back a canvas.

Live class will be held on:
Saturday
February 23rd, at 3 pm NYC time.
