What is wrong with The Grumble?

Oh for the sake of pete. Let sleeping dogs lie or is it lay.

The biggest problem is the addiction. Leave it as it is.
Ask those questions. Once in a while those of us who have cured our adiction may come by and give you a sane answer or one that will make you question our sanity.

In the beginning we barely had an internet connection and some of us ar still on dial up.

Thanks again Bill.

Shayla,

I see that the retail store you are employed by is about to get your first taste of competing with a Michaels Store. If you still have your job a year from now, perhaps you'll use your ameteur psychoanalytical skills to see things differently. Not everyone is a Pollyanna, so get over it. Make some contributions here, then criticize others.

Anyone who knows me well enough on TG knows I don't usually do this, but Paul...that was seriously beneath you.

Perhaps it's just having to be nice and polite all day at work, the grumble gives some folks a place where they can let their hair down a bit, saying things they could never say at work. If that is the case, then The Grumble is performing an important service for them, releasing a little built up steam.

I don't know, just guessing.

Some folks just can't help following Don Imus' motto.

"I'm not happy until you're not happy."

I like the Grumble's free wheeling nature. I don't want to see it turn into all business and no fun. I quit HH because it was all business and dull. I don't mind humor. It's the personal attacks and the lack of respect for each other that I see on here that bother me.
Hi there,

The above is a quote from Anne on this thread.
In retrospect, it says exactly what I think, but better and shorter.
You can ignore mine and read hers twice if you want to.

My previous post obviously touched a nerve, and I apologize if it offended anyone. I am about the least contentious person one might meet, but I'm not afraid to call a spade a spade when I see it.
That said, what I really care about here is that we all have a good time and learn something along the way.

The only reason I wrote it is because this thread is called
"What's wrong with the Grumble", and aside from a few basic user-friendly functional ideas, that bitter tone of interaction is the only one thing that might put people off.

It's true I'm new here, but a new person can still have value.
We have a fresh view of what goes on. There are probably a lot
of folks who check it out, read some of those barbed exchanges
and just keep moving. Too bad, because this is a wonderful place
to learn new things and have fun while doing so.

Thanks for the chance to take part.
It's a bright, sunny day outside., and it's my day off.
I'm outta here! :)

There you go - something that's wrong with The Grumble - gender identification - always thought you were a guy - maybe called 'John Peter .....'

All The best

Is Joan your alter ego Robo? I bet you look really cute in a dress. ;)

I've always wonder what was wrong with being a Pollyanna? If you have ever read the book or seen a the story on TV (Masterpiece Theater did a nice version of it) you'd know that Pollyanna wasn't someone who ignored life's problems, she took life's problems as they came and tried to find the positive in them, even after her legs were crushed in an accident and it looked like she would never walk again. She almost gave up but all the people she helped see through their problems came and helped her through hers. I think I'd rather be that way than someone who pisses and moans about every little thing and is unpleasant to everyone around them.

.........Of course like any family there are members you love and laugh with, members you fight with and members you may want to ignore, but shouldn't. You learn from all of them.
