What is your busiest month?

Business has been growing at a great rate for almost 20 months. I have been keeping an eye on these things and I can't find a trend. I could tell you which month was the best and which was the worst but the difference is minimal and so far doesn't repeat from year to year.

I've tracked for years and I find there is little ryhme or reason to picking a busy month or a slow one. Exactly what JayH said. One or two orders can make the month better than another and not slow or busy. So if we are making small talk I would say...

Busiest; March, ( I have a huge job that makes it my best month and busiest, every year)
Slowest; July, all my customers are up north.
Location; A2 MI

Wow. No down time? Lucky you.
Not much. Most days I leave wishing I had got more done. I'm extreamly satisfied with business and the future is bright.

I can't confirm this but I am almost caught up which does seem like an odd time of year to run out of work though!

Yes Tim when I was in the mall I could say with no doubt that Nov Dec was the cat's meow. It was the other 10 months that made me reconsider that location.

I'd give ANYTHING to have my summers not busy, and the rest of the year decent business. Don't get to have much fun in the summer because we are so frickin busy we can't see straight.

When we're bored to death in the winter, business is nil.
Next summer I am taking off at least 1/2 of June and hitting the beach instead!!

Hope my business partner will be OK with that....:p

December is usually the busiest, but for the last three years January has been the busiest month.
I seem to get the go ahead for corporate jobs the 1st of January and February.
Of course, I don't get paid on those jobs until March.

September is usually the slowest month. Our tourist season ends, and moms are spending all their money on back to school stuff.

April---so slow that it seems to go backwards.

Near Baltimore MD.

Busiest: May and November
Slowest: April and October

This has been the trend for the 3 years I've been opened.

Typically November and December are the busiest, with January close behind. Then there is always June/July with Diplomas and Wedding season.
February or March can be slow depending on the weather and how much customers spent at Christmas and have to pay off their credit cards.
August and September are the slowest with the ...
O'my God the kids go back to school in a month,
They are planning a trip for vacation,
Or they have to buy school supplies.
I will find it interesting what the end of this year will hold, let alone next year. So far nothing is as at should be.

Well the jury is in. Listed in this thread the busiest months are January, February, March, April, May, June, July, September, November, and December. This may be the closest thing to a consensus we've ever had on the G.

January, February, March, April, June, July, August, September, and October was listed as the slowest.

Its all getting clearer now.

My gut feeling is that business is going to have fewer high peaks and will be more spread throughout the course if a year. BUt then again...I could be wrong.

December, but maybe not this year.

I tried LifeSavers Web Reports, very interesting information there, it will be more useful when I've been doing it for a few years. One thing of note, you can compare your discounts, if any, to the national average...which was 25%. I find this very interesting because that's the discount I see advertised around here a lot but when the subject comes up on thread it like no ones ever heard of a discount or the give a measly 10% or something.

Usually its December, but the "model" is for biz to pick up around early November.

That did not happen this year.
