Wal-Mart

Several of the online photo processors are using them as fulfillment service. WM has stepped into the printing industry big time and uses the best equipment in the industry but many stores still have wet lab equipment until the better printers are installed. I have 4 WM's within 15 minutes of me and each has different equipment so you just have to see what a store near you can deliver to decide.

I've only placed a couple orders with them, but I've been very happy with www.adoramapix.com. I've had iPhone pictures printed at 5x7 on their Kodak Professional Metallic paper on they look awesome. The 4x6 you want will run 27 to 29 cents each; can't beat that.
Ok good to know. I was wondering how the quality was once you go bigger!

Hey Nic,

I just went to Target the other day with my iphone, they gave me a usb type cord and plugged it into there machine and printed out some prints for a friends project. They were wonderful, I was impressed with the quality and they were only 10 cents a each.

Is there a difference between iPhone photos and other digital photos that they require different processing?

Sorry to derail, but you might want to reconsider ever plugging your iPhone (or anything else, really) into someone else's machine or even just a charger.

Say Nicole,

I've been reading this with interest. Your question is bigger than you think.

You may not realize it but you are the prized customer that all of us in the photofinishing business are seeking: young woman, kids, tattoos, purple hair :) and digitally savvy.

Dr. Glenn Omura, consultant to PMA, would call you a Millennial Consumer.

4x6 printing has been the bread and butter of any 1hr photolab and it's all but gone. We are all seeking out other products to make up for the loss of prints. (We used to average 2500 per day).

Since your the Holy Grail of photo customers may I ask.......
How many 4x6 prints did you make?
Did you make the prints for yourself or someone else?
Any suggestions for the photofinishing crowd?

Anyone else...feel free to chime in.

Doug

For this online company I made 10 or so. @ 29cents each because it was from my iphone and I didnt know how they were going to look.

I do order from snapfish... I've been known to order anywhere for 100 to 350 4x6 photos at a time. I do a lot of scrapbooking too. Plus have lots of family to give photos to.

This company (mpix.com) prints pretty great photos. I usually get my professional photos printed thru them.
This one I just had printed on metallic paper..... 16x24 <of the cutest kid EVER>
I think I got it for 1/2 off? $13.29 or so.

I guess my suggestion to any photo printer is..
make it affordable, make it trendy, Make it easy to upload. I like seeing the photo books and ideas....Don't know if I would ever do some of them.... BUt I like seeing the options of having photos made into personal items.
Hope this helps.
