Without my arrows would you have been able to find Waldo?

Well Michael, since you get talked into it each year, you should consider what you are putting in rather than just tossing your shop logo on there.

Look at the ad and figure out where your eye goes. People are drawn to human faces. So maybe next year you have a photo of a woman holding a picture frame. Maybe even have your logo inside of the frame.

Find out how much they'd charge to put the red arrow in there.

If you're happy with donating to a charity keep spending money on this. I don't want to appear mean spirited, but that brochure could use a lot of help from a professional graphic designer. It's like trying to gain meaning from a bowl of Alphabet Soup.

It's not a brochure, it's in the news paper

I like how Dave thinks ;)

I have no to little say in the positioning of the gift guide pic. Years ago the gift guide showcased 2"x4" images with a nice paragraph below each, but they have now chosen this format :(

If you do it again, make the background for your logo a color other than white, then you would have the visual impact of your entire allotted space.

Those baskets sell great don't they :)

Looking at the red arrows makes me ant to try to incorporate them into an ad. Or a colorful circle around the ad. Sadly though every other ad would soon incorporate the arrows and then it would look worse :)
