This made me laugh Jay. Remember when you I and almost came to blows over this topic? What was I thinking?

I'll assume you are sincere Kathy and do the same in wishing you well. I will also make my best to effort to be kinder and gentler in my future posts. The words we write often seem different to others than to us. A lesson we need to remind ourselves of.
I consider this matter concluded and want to wish you good luck in your future endeavors.

We've all had, myself included, our share of failures. How well and how quickly we respond and what we learn from those failures is what's really important.

As entrepreneurs, we take risks that others are afraid to take. We experience feelings of pride and success, frustration and failure that others don't. We don't leave work at 5pm and we rarely leave it completely. I do hope you give entrepreneuship another go, but I wish success in whichever path you choose. Good luck Kathy.

This whole thing has been bugging me for a couple of days. I would be better off staying away I am too sure, as there is no love loss between Paul and myself. This should be considered a critique and not a personal attack.

Paul it has been noted to you many times that the reason many folks here have issues with you has much to do with attiutde and presentation of your posts. They have a tendency to reek of self-serving toxicity. It certainly feels that if your thoughts and ideas are challenged or if someone disagrees this is where the personal attacks from you start. Yes this thread being started was an invitation for criticism from others, but I suspect its a result of much frustration from many folks here.

Many times when a new threadis started by you it feel as if the Grumble has become your research for your next project and that we are your guinea pigs. We actually are rather intelligent people here and are not so easily swayed towards the new coming.

You obviously do a lot of research on your opposers whether it be looking up their demographics or searching through someitmes years of their past posts looking for anything to throw back at them. As was the apparent case of Kathy.

It is also obvious that quick to temper is the standard and it has been noted that venomous attacks and implied threats in PM's and e-mails is to be expected.

A suggestion Paul to follow up this critique would be to take some time to cool off if you are so easily inflammed before posting. Take some time to put yourself in someone else's shoes before you type. Reconsider how you approach the Grumble with new ideas. I think we can all benefit from the suggestions I just laid out, and I think you could be better received as well.

On a final note, I think Levie had some very interesting things to say and all was well presented. Something good can come from all of this if you would just let it happen.

Wow, Paul I guess I took too long to type....very nice response to Kathy. I hope you see that my post is intended to be a honest critique and in no way is a personal attack. If your last post becomes more the norm I think you will find a lot of frustration will dissipate.

Steph, I do understand about your initial post and appreciate that you pointed out the timing issue. Regardless, I thought your comments were candid and heartfelt.

One thing you brought up that I found interesting and hadn't heard before was, "Many times when a new threadis started by you it feel as if the Grumble has become your research for your next project and that we are your guinea pigs."

I sometimes am seeking views and testing an idea or theory. No doubt about it and that's a fair use in my view. However, usually I'm just trying to stimulate thought, promote discussion, increase traffic by livening the forum, or challenge conventional thinking. I am something of a maverick as I'm sure you've noticed. :)
