Amazing!
that's exactly the response I was looking for. Thank you. That's also the response I got from the client when he picked these up today. He droppped off the next six also, so watch this space for more!WOW!!!
Very carefully. How did you attach the objects?
My favorite, not just for the awesome design but one of my very favorite bands!here we go again. Top mat is C5579, cut on a Wizard 9000 CMC using the 52° cartridge. bottom mat is B998008. Took this pic before I installed the glass and spacers. Spacers were covered in B998008 also. LP's are encapsulated in Duralar and attached to the back with 3M #889 tape. Poster is not collectible, so it's drymounted on Kooltack AF 1/8". drum head is friction fit onto a 3/16" AFFC disc which was glued to the backing with PVA. Guitar is mounted using custom fabricated acrylic mounts attached via the strap pegs on the guitar body.

Too long! it's getting faster as I go, but I still feel like I didn't add enough labor charge to this job. Between the Photoshop time laying out the design elements and the actual construction it's several hours work. I do a lot of digital layout before hand so I have the general design nailed down, but still end up doing a lot of tweaking as I go.Very impressive designs! How long does it take you to complete one of these shadow boxes?
I've just been clear Duralar sheets on these. The matte finish stuff is nearly opaque. You do get some reflection on the surface, but not enough to be bothersome.Does Mylar happen to come in non reflective or is this just the regular.
Do you need permission to use band logos/graphics for backgrounds?
The walk of fame star is genius.
Stevie Ray, one of my favorites.Once again, I forgot to shoot a photo of this before I fit the glazing. oh well. View attachment 25239
These are all part of a private collection. The owner called the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland to ask where he should go to have the work done, and they gave him our name! Not sure how they knew who we were, but I'm not going to complain! These are incredible! Does the client own all of them or are they for resale? Your work could be everywhere...
Thanks! I was rather pleased with that one myself!Another stellar execution with the Lauper background.
I have noticed that the last couple of posts have shown that the signed guitars are Gibson Les Pauls.and again, i forgot to photograph...blah blah blah. whatever. I'm no Allman Brothers fan, but I think this looks pretty cool.
The background's a poster?
Clean design.
Another question: whose idea was it to add lots of album covers?
I ask because the packaging of newer and older stuff is a good way of presenting a 'retrospective'.
