canvas stretch little margin

hey! i just wanted to get some opinions cause i’m not trying to build another frame cause of the wrong size.
my boss says it’s impossible but i feel like i’ve stretched canvases with less of a margin and it was fine.
the sides have extra but the top and btm are lacking almost 1 inch in some spots. is it possible?

I would strip line with Beva to extend the canvas, or sew another piece of blank canvas to that

I have stretched many with that little canvas to work with. You have to use your strong fingers to pull and sometimes it's difficult to get any ripples out, but it can be done.

I've done it with that much canvas.
you could always crop it a little bit

Are you using a stretching machine or stretching pliers? My guess is that the folks doing it with so little selvage are using pliers.
