I bought a used CS89 and have started watching some videos on operations and reading through the manual. I noticed I am missing a few pieces and things like the string with the ball for pulling back the wedge pusher is busted. Is there any places that people would suggest looking for parts? I found one site but it looks to be in the UK and am just hoping to find something a bit more stateside if possible. I also noticed the part that the V Nail comes sticks up just a little bit and is not flush. It seems strange to me that it wouldn't be flush but I could be wrong if someone could let me know how it's supposed to be that would at least make me feel a bit more at ease.

The site that you mentioned is probably this one...
It's a good site and they are helpful. We have 2 Cassese 299's where I have been able to get parts for the discontinued vnailers.
I actually have an extra ball and string that I ordered a while back just in case.
I think that the CS89 and the 299 use the same ball and string.
I also ordered an extra spring pusher for the vnails to have a spare.

You might also check with Aim ...

And then there is this...

Yeah that was the site. Any thoughts on the wedge distributor block seemingly not being flush with the top. Does this need to be lowered somehow and if so any thoughts on how to do it?

I am more familiar with the 299 but I believe the wedge blocks are the same, they have the same part numbers.
There is a 3 mm allen locking screw that holds the wedge block and could be adjusted unless the wedge block is very worn and the screw won't hold it in place.

Thanks the video is super helpful - Will get that fixed tomorrow hopefully - Just happy everything seems to work just needs minor adjustments.

Good luck with your machine.
I'm a 55 year picture framer and I'm still working for a very high volume shop.
I'm also a mechanical nerd and I like to fix stuff.
I was a drag racer back in the late 60's and into the 70's while I was also framing in Chicago.
I was the mechanic and the driver.
